Seven - August 1942
-A corporal named Neumann comes to transfer Werner to the other Nazi tech division. The Neumann one is the driver and there are three others. They ride the train from Schulpforta to a switching station near Lodz.
-While they wait for the train, Werner sees a prisoner train passing by. Thousands of dead bodies are stacked to the top of the train. Soldiers sit on them. Werner wishes that he could go back in time to the Children's House.
-Werner and these new peeps get on another train and gets out at his new Nazi school.
-Werner reunites with Volkheimer after many months.
-Volkheimer tells him that Partisans are attacking their trains and believes that they're using radios to coordinate the attacks. Volkheimer tells Werner to repair the radios and to help locate the Partisan radio broadcasts.
-Werner repairs the radio and when he hears the first transmission that is not in German, they are less than two kilometers from the source.
-Volkehimer, the Neumanns and Werner approach the site. Werner waits outside while they head in. They kill the men inside. Werner is told to take everything that he can and Werner can't help but feel satisfied.
-The gang continues to search through illegal transmissions in occupied territory for the next two years. Whenever they pass a group of prisoners, Volkheimer takes what he wants of theirs.
-In the beginning of 1944, Werner gets sick. He gets the chills and feels miserable. He hasn't written to Jutta in over a year and her last letter asks why.
-In Apri 1944, the gang is in Vienna and Werner watches a young girl on a swing. He listens to the radio for transmissions and he traces a signal to an apartment. Neumann Two searches for a radio and finds a woman and a child hiding. He kills them both. Werner sees that the girl that Neumann Two killed was the girl he watched on the swings. Werner throws up. They didn't end up finding a radio.
-After Madame Manec died, Etienne locked himself in his study for four days. After the four days, he comes out and creates an opening in his wardobe to access the radio in the garret. Etienne and Marie start to listen to music again. Marie wants to continue Madame Manec's route through the neighborhood of helping out those who need help. Etienne warns her that what they're doing is dangerous and allows her to go the bakery for a loaf of bread.
-When Marie brings home the bread, she sees a message with numbers baked inside. Etienne has no idea what the numbers mean. They wait until dark to transmit them. The radio returns with music. Claire de Lune.
-Etienner creates an early warning bell system that are connected to the gate out front. They will ring when someone enters through the sliding entranceway. (This is the bell system that warned Marie that there was an intruder in the house)
-Ever since Etienne turned the radio back on, his health has improved. Although what they are doing is dangerous, Etienne sometimes adds a minute or two of music after each broadcast. The numbers continue to come through the bread they buy from the bakery.
-Marie never understood what her father meant in his letter when he told her to look inside Etienne's house (which we know is the model) in order to understand him
-Von Rump is called to a warehouse to inspect a bunch of jewels. The French police brings in a burglar with a case of gems. Von Rump sees a pear shaped diamond and notices how it is the exact duplicate of the one he's already found. He finds the third fake stone north of Paris.
-In Paris, von Rump searches the aparment that Marie and her father once lived. He looks at the model of Paris and pulls out the model of the house. Seeing that he's found nothing he crushes the model under his foot. Like really man you're crushing a work of art?!?
-A telegram is sent to Berlin saying that there is an illegal broadcast coming out of Saint-Malo (holy crap!).
