Two- 8 August 1944

-We return to 1944 when the bombs are coming down.

-A bomb hits Hotel of Bees and Werner gets knocked out. As he recovers, he realizes that his head is injured and that he lost his hearing. He is surrounded by darkness and sees wisps of red and blue. 

-Marie is still curled up in a ball and crying "papa!" over and over again (someone please tell this girl to move or she'll die).

-She soon smells smoke and hears something burning outside her window. Her house is not in flames....yet.

-Marie realizes that she is too high up in the building (sixth floor) and feels her way to the first floor (attagirl!). She finds shelter in the cellar underneath the kitchen.

-Werner sees Volkheimer shining a flashlight for survivors. Volkhheimer discovers Bernd the engineer. Werner sees Bernd scream but Werner can't hear a thing. Werner tells Volkheimer that they must find a way out of the hotel's basement. Because Werner can't hear anything he tries to read Volkheimer's lips for his answer: "There is no other way out". Werner realizes that they are all trapped.
